Submitted pieces must not have been produced before May 2025, nor should they have been entered into a previous MetroCAF.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"720\" height=\"504\" src=\"https:\/\/metrocaf.org\/metrocaf\/2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/04\/Mcaf2026_170milesPlus.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-70\" srcset=\"https:\/\/metrocaf.org\/metrocaf\/2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/04\/Mcaf2026_170milesPlus.png 720w, https:\/\/metrocaf.org\/metrocaf\/2026\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/04\/Mcaf2026_170milesPlus-300x210.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For the purposes of this competition, we will accept entries from all schools in NY state. In addition, we will accept entries from all schools, inside or outside of NY state, that are located within a 170-mile radius of Times Square in Manhattan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Submission Categories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Individual work<\/strong>: the entire piece was written, designed, modeled, rigged, animated, etc., by only one person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Small Group<\/strong>: the piece was written, designed, modeled, rigged, animated, etc., by two or three people.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Large Group<\/strong>: the piece was written, designed, modeled, rigged, animated, etc., by four or more people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>See <a href=\"https:\/\/metrocaf.org\/metrocaf\/2026\/rules\/tech-specs\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"17\">technical specifications<\/a> for details on acceptable formats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You also need to submit a digital still image that represents your work. Be sure to include a brief caption (5-10 words) for the image. This image may be used for publications and pre-festival publicity. It is not juried.
